In a landmark case related to a woman who was paralysed in a car accident caused by a huge pothole in Brits in North West, the Mahikeng High Court has awarded the nurse almost R27 million in compensation.

The substantial settlement covers extensive lifelong medical care and lost earnings for the wheelchair-bound nurse.

URA’s Senior Associate, Clarisa Vermaak gives insight into this story on ENCA.
