Expert unpacks collapse of ‘Cat’ Matlala’s plea deal

The National Prosecuting Authority will now have to pursue its case without relying on alleged crime kingpin Vusimusi “Cat” Matlala’s admissions after he withdrew from his plea agreement. The decision paves the way for Matlala to stand trial in the R228-million SAPS tender case involving Medicare24.
